Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns (Form 1040, 1041, 1120, 1065) with high accuracy.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary financial information and explain complex tax concepts in plain English.
- Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and bookkeeping reconciliation.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax status, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Participate in the firm's training curriculum to enhance technical knowledge and software proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA candidates preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and willingness to learn tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to work overtime during tax season (January – April).
