What You Will Do
The Tax Associate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns while ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual (1040), corporate (1120), and partnership (1065) tax returns with high accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct tax research to resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide clear, professional tax advice.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, workpapers, and tax projections.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and software updates.
- Support senior staff during peak tax seasons with special projects and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required.
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state tax codes.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, ATX, or Lacerte) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
