Key Responsibilities
As a Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our post-closing operations. Your duties will include:
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process and manage accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable collections with strict accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports.
- Manage payroll processing for night-shift personnel, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Organize and digitize financial documents, maintaining an organized filing system for audit readiness.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting, preferably within a night-shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and federal tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
