The Role
As our Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our daily financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial data is recorded accurately and on time, allowing our daytime team to focus on strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy during night hours.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and verification of payroll data for the upcoming business day.
- Financial Reporting: Generate daily and weekly financial reports to keep management informed of cash flow and accounts status.
- Expense Tracking: Review and categorize expense reports and invoices submitted by the daytime team.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical financial records.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities adhere to federal and state financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; High school diploma with equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and discrepancies in financial data.
- Schedule: Must be available to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM or 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to the daytime team.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
