Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Process and reconcile daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform nightly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for review the following morning.
- Payroll Oversight: Assist in the processing of bi-weekly payroll for a select portfolio of small-to-medium business clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial data adheres to GAAP and company internal controls.
- Communication: Communicate any critical financial alerts or urgent issues to the day-shift management team via secure messaging channels.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume accounting setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Experience with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity under time constraints.
- Availability: Must be available to work the 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM shift, Monday through Friday.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a quiet night environment.
