Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, specifically during the night shift.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Process and post journal entries to the general ledger in a timely manner to support month-end close.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure tax filings are completed correctly for the period.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documents and records.
- Communicate with external partners and vendors regarding billing and payments as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a quiet, night shift environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong verbal and written communication skills.
