Responsibilities
- Perform daily general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries with high accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, verifying all financial reports.
- Review and verify financial statements for compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents and tax records.
- Collaborate with the day-shift accounting team to resolve outstanding discrepancies and provide support.
- Utilize accounting software to track expenses and ensure proper coding of transactions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
