Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process and audit payroll entries for accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP accounting standards.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to transfer documentation and resolve urgent financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the night shift.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
