As the Night Shift Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial integrity by ensuring all ledger entries are accurate and timely. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ledgers, and reports for management review.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes with strict deadlines.
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and authorization before payment.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve discrepancies and transfer data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Must be available to work the night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; CPA certification is a plus.
