Seeking a meticulous Night Shift Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in New Orleans. This critical role ensures accurate financial reporting while supporting our 24/7 operations. You'll maintain compliance, optimize processes, and contribute to strategic financial decisions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable during night shift hours
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Manage general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Conduct bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of accounting experience with night shift exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and regulatory compliance understanding
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
