Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely enter daily financial transactions into our accounting software (QuickBooks and Xero experience is a plus, but training provided).
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and posting of monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
- Process invoices, prepare checks, and ensure all vendor bills are paid on schedule.
- Organize and file physical and digital financial documents for easy retrieval.
- Assist the senior accounting team with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to perform complex calculations with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is highly desirable).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional errands.
