Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately record daily financial entries, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track business expenses to ensure compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting manager to identify process improvements and support team goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic project experience is preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
