Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and assist in budget preparation under the guidance of senior staff.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and general ledger systems.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits to ensure full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and contribute to the optimization of our financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates currently completing their degree are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in financial reporting.
