Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and software usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of tax regulations, internal controls, and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with an unwavering attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
