Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely client billing to maintain healthy cash flow.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing adjusting entries and maintaining the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Data Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) to input, track, and analyze financial transactions.
- Tax Assistance: Support the tax team by gathering necessary documentation and assisting with the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing final year of studies).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros are a plus).
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
