We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Colorado Springs. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced financial environment while working with a supportive leadership team.
At Apex Financial Solutions, we believe in growing our team from within. You will be responsible for assisting with daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in our books, and supporting the month-end close process.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and completing financial reports by the deadline.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and variance analysis.
- Data Entry & Auditing: Maintain accurate records and assist in internal or external audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing final year).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a recent graduate with internship experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
