Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage vendor accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting entries and tracking account balances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closings.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is required; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attributes: Strong mathematical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to spot errors in data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Work Ethic: A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
