Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Prepare and send invoices, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and trial balances.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical financial records.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation support.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Intuit QuickBooks Desktop.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
