Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Oversee the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accurate recording of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review and client presentations.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurate and compliant with local regulations.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary documentation and support the tax team during annual tax filings.
- Expense Management: Review and approve employee expense reports and vendor invoices according to company policy.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are categorized correctly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or Xero.
- Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
