Responsibilities
- Core Bookkeeping: Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records match actual bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and month-end close packages.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Inventory & Tax Prep: Monitor inventory levels and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding financial data and account status.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Familiarity with Xero or NetSuite is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP principles and general ledger accounting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines effectively.
