Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for client employees accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, gathering necessary documentation and filing returns.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and archives for easy access and auditing.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding their financial accounts and statements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Intacct; experience with Xero is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
