Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and managing payroll tax filings.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to manage financial records and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) as a professional Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online is a plus).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and maintain high data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
