Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for clients.
- Payroll: Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees and vendors.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
