Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Organize and file financial documents for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience with bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
