Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce of over 150 employees, including hourly operators and salaried management.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of commissions, overtime, and equipment-specific pay differentials.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Kentucky state and federal payroll regulations.
  • Process and file quarterly and annual tax returns and payroll tax filings.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax documents.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to resolve discrepancies in timekeeping and employee data.
  • Implement and maintain payroll software best practices to ensure data security.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the construction, rental, or heavy machinery industry.
  • Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Experience with garnishments and complex benefit deductions is a plus.
