Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry of financial transactions into our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).
- AP/AR Support: Process invoices, prepare checks, and manage accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring all receipts are collected and filed correctly.
- Reporting: Help generate basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with federal and state regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate with clients and internal team members to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience required. Basic knowledge of accounting principles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and comfortable learning new accounting software.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
