As a Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring our clients' books are accurate and up-to-date. You will work closely with our senior accountants and have the chance to develop skills that are essential for long-term career advancement in the accounting industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding customer accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger, recording daily transactions accurately.
- Month-End Close: Assist in preparing trial balances and supporting schedules for the monthly close process.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of tax documents.
- Data Entry: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Certifications: Freshbook/Xero certification is a plus; QuickBooks proficiency is a strong advantage.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
