Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions during the weekend closing cycle.
- Process and review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to implement process improvements and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for weekend shift experience.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during off-peak hours.
