Responsibilities
- Accurate Record Keeping: Process daily transactions and maintain accurate financial ledgers.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Invoice Management: Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices and purchase orders.
- VAT Returns: Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
- Software Proficiency: Input data into accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks) and maintain records.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and spreadsheets.
- Admin Support: File and organise physical and digital documents.
Qualifications
- Education: AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable, but we will consider exceptional candidates with strong GCSEs (A*-C) in Maths and English.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data entry and financial reporting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability: Punctual and professional attitude towards work.
