As an Entry Level Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will work closely with senior accountants to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger and entry of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, including verifying hours and calculating deductions.
- Document Management: Organize and file physical and digital financial documents for audit readiness.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Bookkeeping Knowledge: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training for QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.
