Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero) and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports and vendor invoices for approval and payment.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of basic financial statements and reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) required; experience with QuickBooks or Xero is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors in data entry and financial documents.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
