Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Transactions: Process daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll entries and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and company policies.
- System Management: Update and maintain the general ledger using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Client Support: Provide basic financial data support to senior accountants and clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; however, internship experience in an accounting role is a plus.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
