Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations and reporting workflows.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during quarterly or annual audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
