Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Process payroll support and manage expense reports for the department.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a strong plus.
- No prior professional experience required; we value aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
