Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately receive, review, and process incoming invoices for payment, ensuring all data is entered correctly into the accounting software.
- Data Entry: Maintain precise vendor records and update the accounts payable ledger with daily transactions.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts payable statements to ensure all payments and deductions are accounted for.
- Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly or monthly reports on outstanding invoices and payment schedules for the finance manager.
- File Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic formulas and formatting).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding financial data.
