Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical records of all financial transactions using accounting software.
- Payroll Support: Assist the finance team with payroll processing, including verifying hours and processing payments.
- Tax Preparation: Gather necessary documentation and support the tax team during quarterly and annual tax filings.
- General Ledger: Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure all accounts reflect the correct financial position.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related administrative role is preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, verify data, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
