Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger, perform monthly and year-end close procedures, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and operational budgets to support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, identifying and resolving any irregularities.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast financial needs and monitor budget performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
