Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions within established deadlines
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Assist with payroll processing and tax compliance documentation
- Support audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting
- Communicate financial status updates to department heads
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and bookkeeping fundamentals
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with high accuracy in numerical data handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Previous internship or part-time accounting experience required
- QuickBooks certification a significant plus
