Your Role
As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing financial reports. You will be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processing and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality data accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with non-financial staff.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
