Responsibilities
- Review and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Process accounts payable transactions including data entry and payment execution.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting preparation.
- Maintain and update the vendor master database with current information.
- Handle incoming vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (vlookup, pivot tables are a plus).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn industry-standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
