Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and monthly reports for management review.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices with a high degree of precision and timeliness.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes and audit preparations.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic financial records and documentation.
- Perform routine data entry tasks and assist in the implementation of new accounting software.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data and communicate findings to senior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Current enrollment in a finance/accounting program is a plus.
