Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and accrual adjustments.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, resolving discrepancies and optimizing cash flow.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and risks for executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary tax documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification (or active candidacy) is highly desired.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial audit requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
