Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger records.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing necessary journal entries and reports.
- Review and verify invoices, receipts, and expense reports for compliance with company policies.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) to maintain financial data.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of tax documentation.
- Communicate with team members and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
