Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and general ledgers.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable invoices and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Support the audit process by organizing and reviewing financial documentation.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing for small business clients.
- Update and maintain the company's fixed asset register.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to obtain professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) with company support.
