Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing trial balances and adjusting entries.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Prepare basic financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Organize and maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and government reporting requirements.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to manage financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience in accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
