As an Entry Level Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our clients and our firm. You will work under the guidance of senior accountants, gaining hands-on experience with real-world financial data. Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify payments, and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Review bank statements and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- General Ledger Support: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, categorizing transactions correctly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
- Data Entry & Compliance: Enter financial data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Support Payroll: Assist the payroll team by gathering necessary time sheets and payroll data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing a CPA certification).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, or internship experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and basic accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to senior management.
- Work Ethic: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
