Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable processing
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Manage bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Process payroll and tax documentation for multiple clients
- Support audit readiness by organizing financial documentation
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles
- Strong attention to detail with 10-key calculator accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills
- Valid Kentucky driver's license for occasional client visits
- QuickBooks certification preferred but not required
