Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including monthly journal entries and accruals.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist the Finance Director with budget preparation and variance reporting.
- Ensure all tax filings and compliance documentation are up to date and accurate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Associate in Accounting (AIA) certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
