Responsibilities
- Process High-Volume Transactions: Accurately manage accounts payable and accounts receivable invoicing, payments, and collections during evening hours.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data matches system records.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute nightly financial reports, variance analyses, and cash flow summaries to the Finance Manager.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal controls, GAAP, and company policies.
- Vendor Management: Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Availability: Must be available to work 3rd shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
