As a Weekend Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients and organization. You will manage month-end close procedures, financial reporting, and reconciliation tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Execute daily bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis.
- Prepare and review financial statements and variance analysis reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and manage invoices.
- Assist with payroll processing and quarterly tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a weekend shift or fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a plus.
